Artikel wurde im Netz gefunden und ist die Meinung des Sabun (=Meister) Jung

der Artikel kontroversiell und soll zu Diskussionen anregen.
The problem of weak identity of Taekwondo
is rooted on the corruptness of major groups over 30 years. Of course, those
groups are still corrupt, more corrupt than before.
In 1983 when I started teaching Taekwondo, I was very proud and excited
about being a head of fighters. To be frank, I think I've become the more
competent as an instructor because I had to have my students fight me as
training partner. Despite economic hardships, I served many owners, teaching
Taekwondo with sincerity and pleasure in my 20's, and I remember those days
as distant but good memory. I think it is because the Taekwondo I learned
and taught in those days was more like a 'true martial art'
It's been three years since major Taekwondo
groups got stirred up and Taekwondo, globalized Korean pride, fell into a
serious chaos; it is because of unestablished identity and corruptness inside
Korea. Nevertheless, Korean Taekwondo is still drifting around without the
confusion settled at all.
Seeds of corruptness were sown from the time when the name Taekwondo got
established. During the long period between ex-president Lee and ex-president
Park, Taekwondo was protected in Kukkiwon, the impregnable fortress. So,
while they speeded up on globalizing Taekwondo, they created absurdity lasting
until today; president and vice president of Kukkiwon were absolute dictators.
What was worse, scholars distorted the Taekwondo history by saying that Taekwondo
has originated from some martial art in Three-Dynasty Era, which was not
tested.
The present Taekwondo history is completely different from the history
I knew in 1983. If you scan and examine the Taekwondo history written on
homepages of Korean prestigious college Taekwondo departments and that in
the Kukkiwon hompage, you can recognize the change. It was only 3 years ago
that people started talking about the late Choi Hong-hee, who used to be
forgotten because of political reasons, when the internet became explosively
popular among Koreans and Korean people had more freedom of speech.
ITF ex-president Choi Hong-hee, the center of Taekwondo history, passed
away now, and people keep saying 'We can't go on this way. We must change.'
However, 40 year old 'fake Taekwondo history' and corruptness are hard to
fix. Taekwondo is still in the middle of chaos
